Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to already be good at writing?

Absolutely not! YWW exists to help young people grow as writers, whether they enter the program as absolute beginners or as published authors.

What if I'm not interested in writing as a career?

Think of this like piano lessons. You would take piano lessons if you wanted to become a professional musician, but you might also take lessons just to learn how to play the piano — because it's a valuable skill to have.

In the same way, many students will join YWW because they hope to get published someday, but others will join just because they want to improve their writing and reach more people with their words.

What do you think about self-publishing?

We love self-publishing and we can help guide you through the process. We also believe that young people can be traditionally published. We'll help you figure out which approach is best for you.

Do I need Facebook to participate?

Nope! Joining the Facebook Group is optional. And there will be opportunities to engage with other students inside the membership site itself.

Is there an age-limit?

Yes. This program is designed for young writers — ages 10-25. However, that is a rough guideline and we are willing to make exceptions. If you think this program would be perfect for you (or for your child) it probably will be.

When does registration reopen?

YWW will re-open for enrollment in January 2018. Registration will only be open for a few days so we can spend more time serving our students than marketing our program. Join our waiting list to avoid missing out.
